Name: Willowpaw
Previous Names: Willowkit
Gender: She-cat
Clan: SparkClan
Age: 11 moons
Rank: Healer’s apprentice
Mentor: Sandfeather
Description: A pretty silver-white she-cat with a light grey body and darker grey and silver stripes on her face, ears, legs and tail. She has kind dark blue eyes and is a small to medium sized cat. Her claws are a smokey grey color and and her whiskers are pure white.
Personality: Willowpaw is a quiet and shy she-cat who isn’t very sure of herself. But she is always pointing out the good traits and talents of other cats and deeply cares for her clanmates. She is in awe of her teacher and always follows her directions and teachings to the word, and gets incredibly worried and frantic when she finds that she has done something wrong. She is in fact a very intelligent cat and is an extremely fast learner, but not the most talkative cat in the forest. Getting her to talk about the weather is almost impossible, but ask her about all the plants used to cure a belly ache and she’ll name all of them and more! She becomes very quiet and timid especially around warriors, apprentices and cats from other clans but is some what comfortable when it comes to dealing with queens, their kits and the elders. One of the only friends her age is the apprentice Blizzardpaw, but how that friendship got off the ground no one knows. Blizzardpaw however is very supportive of her friend’s dreams and can become slightly overprotective of her, and Willowpaw of her. She was very excited and yet scared when she was chosen for her position, knowing that it was a big responsibility. But she has filled out as a cat nicely and dreams of the day when she can become the clan’s healer. Not that she could become the best warrior, she is too sweet! But you better watch out when her claws do come out: she is fiercely loyal when it comes to her clan.
History: She was born in a litter of two but her sister was a still born, so she was dotted on as a kit. But it never went to her head and she never played with the other kits very much: she was always wandering into the medicine cat’s den. Sandfeather, obliging yet curious, was hard-pressed to keep up with the stream of questions that came out of the small kit’s mouth, and was amazed when she remembered most of the answers! Since she didn’t have an apprentice and Willowkit (at the time) was soon to be apprenticed, she talked to Battlestar about the little kit. Willowkit was sure surprised when she was made Willowpaw, and her new mentor was the SparkClan medicine cat! Since then she has dedicated herself to be the best healer her clan has ever seen and is almost always found Sandfeather’s den.
RP Example:
“So what does marigold do?”
“It heals wounds and sores”
“And what other herbs would go with it?”
“Um…cobwebs right? That will stop the bleeding. And maybe some burdock root for infections and reed and…and…oh I know there’s another!” Willowpaw racked her brain trying to remember the right herb, while Sandfeather looked on with amused eyes.
“Wild garlic would have also helped, but you covered almost all of them” Willowpaw, looked up with wide blue eyes, now absolutely frantic.
“You mean I forgot more?! What are they? Do I know them already?” The panicked look on the silver she-cat’s face made Sandfeather mrrow in laughter. She touched noses with Willowpaw before saying “That was the only one you missed. You have to go easy on yourself” Her eyes twinkled with amusement. “All hunting and no play makes for a very dull day – and a dull apprentice” Willowpaw looked up at her mentor before giving a pout.
“Yes Sandfeather” Sandfeather turned around and started to sort through herbs they had gathered that morning and without turning around, meowed “You should hunt and enjoy yourself Willowpaw. We did enough today, and I’ll call you if I need you” She turned and winked at Willowpaw. “Besides I think your friend is waiting for you” The small she-cat turned to the mouth of the den to indeed find Blizzardpaw waiting for her with an annoyed expression on her face.
“Come on” the snow-white she-cat whined, “All the other warriors are taking a break and I need someone to hunt with!” Willowpaw looked at Sandfeather, who just flicked her tail is dismissal. Willowpaw sighed.
“Oh alright. But I want to see if we find some nettle while we’re at it” She stood up and trotted to the camp’s entrance, sort of glad she could get some fresh air in. Blizzardpaw just rolled her eyes.
“Medicine cats” she muttered. Sandfeather raised an eyebrow. Blizzardpaw cleared her throat and dashed off after her friend, who was waiting by the camp entrance. Sandfeather could distantly hear their conversation as they left for the forest.
“So Willowpaw, how was your training?” Willowpaw sighed with disappointment.
“It went ok until Sandfeather asked me about marigold and I forgot wild garlic” She brightened. “But when we went to gather plants we found lots of mint and yarrow and then…” Her voice faded out as they went to hunt. Sandfeather just smiled as she went back to the pile of herbs at her paws.
